The final two truck loads of debris were removed today from the Eastern building. All of the foundations from the Eastern building are clean and partially demolished. The foundations will be crushed on site and used as reclaimed material far enough below grade to meet spec. The aluminum has been partially stripped by excavator from the Western building.
Water and sewer were capped by A. Urbano Construction and inspected by The Waterford Utility Comission and Earthtech, independent contractor for The New London Water Authority. A. Urbano has begun trenching for the site's temporary water supply and installation will occur on Saturday previous to the demolition of the Western building. The demo permit for the Western building has been granted by Frank Hoaglend, Waterford building inspector, as of 3:30 today.
Be sure to check back for updates and site progress.
